Huawei is preparing to launch the successor to the Pura 70 series soon. While there is no official word regarding the Pura 80 series, a new leak has confirmed some of its specs. We now have an idea regarding the camera on the back and display on the front, so let’s check it out.

The news arrives from known tipster Smart Pikachu who shared the details on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website). The online post confirmed details regarding the Pura 80 series. Huawei announced the Pura 70 series back in April 2024, with its global release following a month later in Europe. Now, we have more details regarding the display and cameras of the Pura 80 series. The Pura 80 lineup is expected to include a 6.6-inch straight display panel. This is likely for the more affordable base model.

On the other hand, the higher-end variant may offer a taller 6.8-inch curved display. This might be the Pro or Ultra variant. To recall, the Pura 70 came with a 6.6-inch panel, while the Pura 70 Pro and Pura 70 Ultra sports a taller 6.8-inch screen. Meanwhile, the rear is getting a new primary camera along with a telephoto shooter, for magnified shots. This leak also hints that the new smartphones might be launching in the Chinese market soon.

Back in November 2024, we cover another leak that confirmed details regarding its periscope telephoto shooter. Huawei is rumored to bring an advanced periscope telephoto camera. This sensor will reportedly offer a significant upgrade in terms of zoom capabilities. The leak further revealed that the Pura 80 lineup will be announced in the second quarter of 2025.
